Common procurement and security questions.
What is the basis for pricing?
Pricing is based on the number of projects, the data plane model (hosted vs. BYO), and support level. Team is an annual contract; Enterprise is custom. Full models will be public at GA.
What are the contract terms?
Standard is an annual term with a 30-day renewal notice. Early termination is limited to agreed-upon conditions. Data export and deletion occur within 30 days of termination.
How is data residency and deletion guaranteed?
With BYO storage, data never leaves your object storage. Lanikaia metadata residency is agreed upon by contract. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Iceberg tables and catalog states are exportable in standard open formats.
Is SLA and support included?
Team includes business-hour response on a best-effort basis. Enterprise includes 24/7 on-call, uptime SLAs, incident notifications, and monthly reviews.
Where is the boundary between OSS and commercial?
Apache Iceberg, Apache Polaris, dbt, Trino, and Spark are OSS. The Lanikaia agent runtime, project model, and publishing surfaces are commercial. This ensures no data lock-in.
Can you provide SOC 2 or security questionnaires?
SOC 2 Type II is in preparation for Enterprise GA; we can currently provide control maps. Standard DPAs are signed at contracting. SIG/CAIQ and custom questionnaires are handled for Enterprise customers.
